What I learnt in my two short years of trying to earn online.
If you are from the west and particularly from the US don't bother reading this as you may find plethora of opportunities and resources all around you.
This might help only Asians and particularly Indians with their online earning dreams.
Are paid surveys good to earn
I started up my online earning venture by searching Google for key words like ' earn online','work at home','free earning opportunities' etc. there the most hits I found was for taking surveys and getting paid. At that time this sounded to be one of the best and easiest way to earn online with no technical and other experiences and most importantly for me without investing a dime. So as guided by many reviews and comments I followed up and joined about 20-30 free paid survey sites and was full of excitement as I was going to earn at least $200 dollar per month for just working about 2 hrs a day. At that time I was ready to spend not 2 hrs but 8 hrs a day if I could make $200/m as it was very good money by Indian standards to earn just sitting at home.It took up about 2-3 weeks of tedious effort to sign up on all those website and I was really exhausted by the time I finished the registration process. On those days I woke up early expecting to find my email loaded up with surveys and not wanting to miss out on any of them.After watching for about 3-4 days I started getting the hang of things .You will be disappointed to learn that I have been getting surveys from just 3 of the 30 sites I signed up and that too one in 2-3 days or just one in a week and as for the payment bit you have to reach their minimum payout or points . Imagine just for an example having to earn 500 points ie $50 with surveys coming just one or 2 per week where you would earn maybe just 5 points.This could be your biggest turn off with surveys. I wouldn't say those who claim to be making a living out of doing surveys are lying or the survey sites are scams but just that we are from the wrong geographical belt . Most of the survey providing companies are US based and you can guess their interest without me having to spell it out. So if you are from my part of the world just ignore surveys may be in the near future we Indians or Asians would also be able to earn good money through doing surveys but not as yet.
So after my expedition with surveys I am back to square one as I have just $10 in my pay pal account which I can't withdraw .

So I started up again to find new pastures to earn online.One thing I learnt is that its not easy to earn online for free. I won't say its impossible but it might tax you a lot with time and energy and eventually you might even get fed up. I can give you some tips to do it if you are a very principled and routine oriented person with lots of patience you may as well don't bother if you don't have any of these qualities as the Internet is a huge distraction and you might jump from one to another and you maybe nowhere finally.If you have these qualities the best way to earn for free would be by joining paid to click sites.But there are also some ways to approach it because there are hundreds of them and also many are scams so before you join up check up for the best .A good place to do it would be http://www.alexa.com/ where you get an idea about the sites rating and anything below one lakh is really good you may also get some reviews there. there are many more of those but these are some where I personally gain by referring you they are best place to get information about any site you would want checked out. And don't worry about wasting time over there as all these sites pay you for hanging around, not much but maybe $.01 for 1- 2hrs or so it depends actually on what you do there ,they also pay you for referring others they are free to join so you have nothing to loose.Its also one of the best place to get referrals for your down line.
Talking about paid to click sites don't just join one and stay with it its not going to get you any where . If you are doing it alone you make about .05 or so per day so join many of them but once again check their credentials before doing it.The best way to optimise your earning through paid to click sites is by referring others to your down line as you get to earn for their clicks too. To build a down line for the sites you signed up on join some free traffic exchanges where you can advertise your referral link for free.This is not easy as you will have too many links to promote and getting traffic to one link itself is difficult you have to be studious about it. But you can do one thing to simplify things ,you may start a blog and list all of your websites there and start promoting the blog so that you get all the traffic to your blog also.

No you won't earn anything in your first month unless you are exceptionally good at referring others or you are ready to spend a few bucks for buying referrals.If you are neither don't worry click systematically and devotedly for a few hours maybe 4hrs then you will start earning online. My advise would be to invest your initial earnings in buying some referrals or upgrading yourself then you would feel a lot more comfortable watching your stats. But don't imagine you will able to mint money out of these programmes may be a few hundreds at the maximum thousands not more. This should be best for those who doesn't have much time to spare but would like to earn an extra online income by spending few hours a day.
